Great question! For starters, the annual cost of a full-time senior-level automation specialist exceeds $120,000, (and good luck finding a great one). Aside from that, you may not always have enough work to keep them busy at all times, so you’re stuck paying them to work on low-impact projects.

With the monthly plan, you can pause and resume your subscription as often as you need to ensure you’re only paying your automation specialist when you have work available for them.

Once subscribed, you’re able to add as many automation requests to your queue as you’d like, and the automators will work through each of your queued request one at a time. We divide the automation’s into two types, Workflows, the area you want to automate, like Social Media Marketing, and Automation, the specific steps in that workflow to be automated, for instance AI generated images. We might jump between Workflows as we work on your automation’s based on your priorities.

Simple Automation’s will arrive for your review in around 72 hours, more complex automation’s might take up to a week. Complete Workflows can take 2-3 cycles to automate the parts that can be automated. You’ll receive parts of the workflow as they are created. Complex workflows can take 2 weeks or more. Remember we work on one automation at a time, but we can jump between workflows as we go to maximize the value you are getting from each automation.

You might be surprised to hear this, but Startup Builder Lab is actually an agency of one. The power of automation and work systems setup on full display. This means you’ll work directly with me, the founder of Startup Builder Lab.

We understand you may not have enough automation work to fill up an entire month. Perhaps you only have one or two automation requests at the moment. That’s where pausing your subscription comes in handy.

Billing cycles are based on a flat fee per month. Let’s say you sign up and use the service for 18 days, and then decide to pause your subscription. This means that the billing cycle will be paused and you’ll have 12-13 days, depending on the month, of service remaining to be used anytime in the future. What about February when I would only have 10 days left, except leap year? Blame the Romans, their superstition of numbers, their hatred for that specific time of year, and Julius Caesar’s need to make the calendar accurate by adding leap year.

We use a host of different applications to create your automation. The most common are Zapier, Make.com, and the software you are already using. Zapier and Make.com are well known no-code/low-code integrations that connect the most powerful platforms that offer API’s. We will certainly utilize some of the apps and platforms you are already using, but many don’t offer specific capabilities, or it is costly to add the automation by upgrading your subscription plan.

There are three types of costs with implementing automation’s. (1) The current software you are using may need to be upgraded to get access to the API, or access to built in automation’s. (2) You may need to subscribe to a new software program that comes with an associated cost. (3) Zapier and Make.com both charge based on tasks (Zapier) or Operations (Make.com) so the more of these you are processing the higher the plan you need to subscribe to. Cost is cerntaly something you need to keep an eye on as your start to dream of your automation’s. A good rule of thumb, the more information you want to process, the more expensive it will be.

We design our systems to first take advantage of automation possibilities that you are already paying for but not currently using, then we will incorporate other options from there.

We provide a Notion workspace for us to collaborate on. Never used Notion before? That’s Ok, we have designed a very straight forward workspace. Don’t want to use Notion? That’s Ok too, we’ll take your requests however you want to send them over to us. If you want to make a Facetime video or loom video and send it over, go for it.

No worries! Leave feedback on the automation during the review phase – you’ll have unlimited revision cycles to make sure you’re 100% satisfied. Just remember, we only work on one request at a time, so we’ll only move on to the next automation request once one is fully accepted. Also, there are times when certain technical challenges cannot be avoided, we can only work with the options that apps and platforms make available through their API’s. We will alert you to this potential before we start any automation.

Absolutely. Startup Builder Lab does not do the follow automation work: Custom coding using python, java script or other programming languages, and automation’s on platforms that do not offer API’s if we need to get the data out. In addition, we do not clean data. If your data is not in a usable format and we cannot manipulate it to be usable data, then the automation will not be very effective and thus we would not feel comfortable giving you a sub-par product.

If there is an existing workflow in Zapier, Make.com, then we will use it. If an integration exists between platforms directly we will use it. We have no control over what the apps and platforms allow integrations to do, as much as we wish we did. But don’t worry over 6000 apps provide automation’s through Zapier alone, thus it is rare that if you use the most popular apps that we cannot automate many of your workflows.

That’s fine. You can pause your subscription when finished and return when you have additional automation needs. There’s no need to let the remainder of your subscription go to waste. We also we help you determine what automation’s are possible so that you can maximize the impact of your subscription.
